When we do these three things, they make us want to share what we have. Doing so will change our family in incredible ways. Generosity is a tangible way for us to help our kids see someone other than themselves.

WORLD-CHANGING
CONVERSATIONS
with Your Kids
I asked my daughter Emerson to answer the following questions. I hope they lead to good conversations with your kids.
1. Do you think God puts us in a place for a reason? Like in a certain class at school or a neighborhood? Yes, because God has a plan for each and every person, and everyone has a different plan and life. As I read my mom’s words, I wondered, What if Avery and I had never met? Would Fair Trade Friday even exist? God can use anyone, even a couple of first graders.
2. Why do you think God brought your friend Avery (who wears paper beads) back to the United States from Ethiopia? I think God brought Avery back so that her mom could help my mom start Fair Trade Friday. God took a bad circumstance and made good out of it. He knew that together our moms would change the world and that I needed a good friend.
3. When life is hard and we are struggling, do you think God knows and cares? Why do you think he lets us go through hard things? Yes, I know he cares because he loves us. He can take hard things and turn them into good. He lets us go through hard things to teach us to hold on to him and to show us that he has our best interests at heart. He wants us to trust him and give all our worries and problems to him.
